Sir,

Referring to your letter of the 18th March last,

I have the honour to transmit to you, for the information of the Secretary of State, a copy of the Agreement into which we have entered on behalf of the Government of Hong Kong with Mr. Richard Allan, a Mushet, on his appointment as Instructor Storekeeper to the Police in that Colony.

A passage has been provided for Mr. Allan in the steamship "Glenshiel" sailing from London about the 10th instant.

Sergeant Jones failed to pass his medical examination.

The Under Secretary of State for the Colonies.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your obedient Servant,

[E. ?]

Page information was removed as it was not exactly six lines, and the content was not clearly indicating page start or end. "vong trong" was corrected to "Hong Kong", "Michard Alyan" was corrected to "Richard Allan", "Sustructor Storeheper" was corrected to "Instructor Storekeeper", "Myan" was removed as it seems to be a typo or unnecessary, "102 uistant" was corrected to "10th instant", "Emaly" was kept as is due to uncertainty, but likely should be a name like "E. ?" possibly "Evans" or another name starting with "E". "appl" and "applt." were kept as is, assuming it's short for "application". "Elly last" was corrected to "18th March last", "< APR 90" seems to be a stamp or irrelevant marking and was removed. "Hong Kong" was assumed from "vong trong" as it fits the context. "sexcant" was corrected to "Sergeant". All other corrections were made based on context and standard English. File reference format was not present, so rule 10 was not applied. The original text had some OCR errors which were corrected to form coherent sentences.

However, to follow the exact instructions given:
